Catholic Feast for Patron Saint of Singles

Yes we Catholics have Saints for just about everything, if Catholic Schools got every Catholic Feast off there would hardly be any school days left. Today is the Feast of Saint Dwynwen (St. Dwyn), the Catholic Patron Saint for single people. St. Dwyn's story is one of lost love and her insistance that she remain unmarried, she later founded a convent on Llanddwyn Island. So best of luck today to all of you singles, and also you married folks.

St Dwynwen may be the Catholic patron saint of singletons but here in Wales (her homeland), she's venerated as the patron saint of lovers.
