Global Warming Continues - Record Low Temp Confirmed in Maine

It was 50 degrees below zero at a USGS station at Big Black River near Depot Mountain in northwestern Aroostook County, Maine last January 16. That low surpassed the previous record of 48 below zero on January 19, 1925. No word on whether Al Gore was in Maine that day.

Having just finished what NASA, referring to recent sunspot activity described as the "Blankest Year of the Space Age" the brutal cold weather in America marches on. This recent heat wave is very welcome however it appears that we will soon return to the February norm of cold weather.
