Obama's-Gate Children

This video is very strange, I grew up in a very Democratic family but I cannot imagine my parents involving me or my siblings in such a weird cult-like atmosphere. "Obama's gonna change the world, he's gonna change it, rearrange it." Good Lord. They have the matching shirts and the nutty leaders all they need now are the black and white Nikes.

Democratic Drunks and the Sarah Palin Nude

There is a dump on North Ave. named the Old Town Ale House, it is right around the corner from Second City Chicago. Having spent some time at Second City the bar's proximity to the home of improv comedy is no real shock, improv actors are actors after all. As a hint to any Second City students, stupid jokes about Palin, McCain or Republicans in general will get you big time laughs from your instructor(s). Especially if that instructor was left in Chicago when Tina Fey took half of her Main Stage cast to New York with her. Those people can be very bitter and they cling to their bad humor as if it were a Bible. As you can see from the above link the walls are covered with bad art so the Palin painting fits right in, an uncensored version is on their web site. We really should be listening to those actors and artists. Sheesh.
Thanks to the Backyard Conservative who helpfully pointed out that this is from the Chicago Tribune. I think that we can assume that if the Trib has sent their reporters the one mile (Google Maps say that it takes 5 minutes) to North and Wells that they have not found anymore bogus stories from their crack team of reporters in Alaska.

Now Putin and Chavez Try to End Biden's Career and Obama's Missile Defense Dissembling

Now this is just getting ridiculous, Joe Biden and the entire leadership of the Democratic Party have stood together against missile defense for nearly thirty years. Flying Debris has commented on this party nonsense here and here. Now after repeatedly speaking out against missile defense systems that would protect free people from rogue regimes and blackmailers, and even producing an ad that stated as much, well Barack Obama has allegedly seen the light. Call me sceptical. There is no explanation of this dramatic switch, just a switch that appears to be a politically expedient statement during a nationally televised debate. The Obama campaign could at least point to the news that Russia may be nearing a nuclear agreement with Venezuela. That's right, South America's Venezuela, the one with the crazy dictator Hugo Chavez. Nice. As I watched a replay of the debate today I noticed how Obama made numerous statements that were opposed to statements that he had made during this nearly two year campaign. Here is a You Tube mashup that highlights Obama's missile defense statements:

Sophisticated Manhattan Bumpkins Show Inner Selves

This video shows the derangement that sometimes passes for sanity on New York's Upper West Side. It shows the point of view of marchers supporting John McCain and Sarah Palin, watch them as they march down the center of a closed to traffic Columbus Ave. through at least the 80s and 90s (streets). To put this in perspective Columbus Ave. in New York runs a block west of Central Park from Harlem (110th St) where it turns into Morningside Dr. to 57th St. where it turns into 9th Ave. Columbia University is at it's upper terminus, John Lennon's former home is at 72nd St. a block east of Columbus on Central Park West, the Museum of Natural History is on 79th St. and the Metropolitan Museum of Art is right across Central Park at 82nd St. This is a march through sophisticated New York, is this a view of what the future of dissent will be in this nation?

Fascist Democratic Officials Threaten Critics of Benito Obama

Some Missouri Fascists who just happen to be Democratic Prosecutors and Sheriffs are now threatening to prosecute anybody who makes a "false criticism" of the annointed Obama. The Obama campaign has also threatened legal action against television stations that air anti-Obama ads, the Obama campaign has gone after Milt Rosenberg and WGN Radio in Chicago, and of course way back in January of 2007 Barack Obama voted to imprison certain bloggers who didn't register with the Federal Government. What will this man and his fascist allies do when they have power? The Gateway Pundit has the latest on Benito Obama.

Considering how those Democrats are dishonestly describing Obama they may want to look into prosecuting themselves.

Democrats Denied Problems Before Fannie Mae Collapse

Barney Frank should not be trusted. Because the nation saw fit to elect a Democratic Congress we now are forced to trust the financial good sense of Barney Frank and we are in trouble. Here is what Frank said to the New York Times on September 11, 2003:

These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis,'' said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ''The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."

Cox is a former congressman who has no business being at the helm of the SEC and despite what some fools say, the President has the authority to remove the Chairman of a Commision from his Chairmanship. Cox is now looking at banning all short sales, talk about a bubble-inducer. Larry Kudlow got it right in this post were he stated "(a)s much as I agree with Paulson’s new RTC-type agency, which is what I call a smart regulatory move, I disagree with Cox’s action, which is an incredibly stupid regulatory move."

North Korea Still Trying to End Joe Biden's Career

The Washington Post is reporting that North Korea is testing engines for long-range missiles capable of reaching the major cities on the West Coast. Not exactly California Dreaming. America's defense from missiles launched by a rogue regime consist of a preemptive strike or shooting the missiles down using a missile defense system. Joe Biden has spent decades with his Democratic brethren fighting against any missile defense system. Biden's running mate Barack Obama has also come out against missile defense systems, calling them "unproven defense systems." Well Senators, how are they going to become "proven defense systems" without any funding? And why are they not willing to protect America from known threats?

I Watched Democrats Ban Books

When I was in high school there were protests and marches by liberal Democrats at New Trier East High School (and likely NT West also) that demanded the banning of books. The area was very conservative at that time however there certainly were Democrats and liberals in the district. The books in question were Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer. This is from a discussion on Huck Finn: "Around 1976, striking a bargain with parents of black students who demanded the removal of Huck Finn from the curriculum, the administration of New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois, agreed to withdraw the novel from required courses and confined Huck to the environs of elective courses and the school library. This compromise did not end Huck's problems in that northshore Chicago upper middleclass community, however, for as recently as March 1988 black parents "discovered" Huck in American Studies, an elective course team taught by an English teacher and an American history teacher, and once again approached school administrators about banning the book."

So yes, I did watch book-banning Democrats march in front of New Trier East and demand that students not be allowed to read Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer, the marchers wanted the books banned from both the library and the classroom.

AP Aids pro-Obama Hackers!

Obama Housing Advisor Major Part of Fannie Mae Scam

Obama housing advisor and major Obama fundraiser Franklin Deleno Raines left Fannie Mae under a cloud after taking over $100 million in compensation. Raines left Fannie in 2004 after being involved in a scam that inflated his own $100 million compensation and the compensation of others like Clinton Justice Dept. lawyer Jamie Gorelick, the author of the infamous FBI/CIA Wall Memorandum. Lawyers running banks was not a good idea Mr. Clinton. In 2002 President George Bush attempted to rein in Fannie and Freddie to no avail. Members of Congress, especially the Democrats who were getting so much money from those institutions would not allow reasonable changes to be made in the way that Fannie and Freddie operate. Any reader of the Wall Street Journal would know that the Journal has been warning anybody who would listen of the dangers posed by those quasi-governmental agencies. The Democrats chickens have come home to roost and of course not only are those ding-bats attempting to deny their own very public involvement in the collapse of Fannie, Freddy and the mortgage markets but they are now blaming George Bush, the man who warned America that this debacle was likely to happen six years ago.

In 2002 the Journal was especially hard on Fannie and Freddie, it seemed that after years of their editorializing that the government may actually do something positive to assist the public before Fannie and Freddie cost us all dearly. Well that did not sit well with Raines, the Clinton administration lawyer who was appointed to run Fannie, so he penned this hysterical bit of nonsense, Don't Tar Us With an Enron Brush. Too late for that plea Mr. Raines. Franklin Deleno Raines should be in prison, instead he is the housing advisor to the Obama campaign. It seems that Senator Obama has been getting housing advice from a convicted Syrian mobster named Tony Rezko and by the man who helped collapse the mortgage market. Does that make you feel better?

Nigerian Obama Supporters Have Stolen Palin's E-Mail?

This sounds like the type of criminality that originates in Nigeria. If you are on Sarah Palin's e-mail list expect a note asking you to wire thousands of dollars to Lagos, Nigeria because Sarah has lost her passport and her money while enjoying the wonders of Lagos. Yes some supporters of Barack Obama have hacked into Sarah Palin's Yahoo account and spread her private photos, e-mails and contact list around the Internet. Gawker is now displaying the e-mails. If I may steal a recurring reminder from Jim Hoft of the Gateway Pundit, Keep it Classy Democrats.

Michelle Malkin has the story and helpfully reminds us that it is a federal crime to hack into an e-mail account. I wonder if it is also a crime to pass on known stolen material while stating that it is stolen?

The Left, Activists and the Sub-Prime Mess

Finally, what would seem like an obvious question, what role did the left and the Community Reinvestment Act play in the sub-prime mortgage mess? The lack of reporting on the issue is unremarkable, beyond the fact that it is not an easy event to explain, it involves Democrats, it involves activists and this year an activist is running on the Democratic ticket for President. For years urban members of the Democratic Party have hauled banking executives before various committees and accused them of redlining and racism, they demanded that the bankers write mortgages in areas that the bankers deemed too risky. Eventually they all found a way to make less than prime risks conform to the financial norms required by the Federal guarantee agencies, those were the sub-prime loans, loans that apparently were used throughout society.

Well the Investors Business Daily had an excellent editorial this morning that covers that ground very well. The Democrats and the media will not want this story to gain traction with the public but to ignore this factor, one of many in the disaster, is to ignore one of the basic, easier to understand issues involved with the sub-prime mess. Read it.

Obama Campaign On the March Tonight - Goes After WGN

Well the Obama campaign is going after WGN Radio and Milt Rosenberg again tonight and the studio line is busy, the e-mail reproduced below, from the Obama Action Wire arrived at 8:22 CDT this evening.

The author of the latest anti-Barack hit book is appearing on WGN Radio in the Chicagoland market tonight, and your help is urgently needed to make sure his baseless lies don't gain credibility.

David Freddoso has made a career off dishonest, extreme hate mongering, even calling legislation to protect people from hate crimes the "Thought Police."

And WGN apparently thinks this card-carrying member of the right-wing smear machine needs a bigger platform for his lies and smears about Barack Obama -- on the public airwaves.

Freddoso will be on WGN tonight from 9:00 to 11:00 to promote his new attack book against Barack.

Tell WGN that by providing Freddoso with airtime, they are legitimizing baseless attacks from a smear merchant and lowering the standards of political discourse.

Call into the "Extension 720" show with Milt Rosenberg at (312) 591-7200

(Show airs from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. tonight)

Then report back on your call at http://my.barackobama.com/WGNstandards

A couple weeks ago, we asked you to call into Rosenberg's radio show when he hosted unapologetic smear artist Stanley Kurtz' incoherent rantings about Barack and William Ayers.

And you responded. Rosenberg's producer said the flood of calls and emails the show received was the biggest response ever for something like this.

Calling will only take a minute, and it will make a huge difference if we show that our grassroots movement can go toe-to-toe with their media smear machine.

Confront Freddoso tonight before this goes any further:

http://my.barackobama.com/WGNstandards

Please forward this email to everyone you know who can make a call tonight.

Keep fighting the good fight,

Obama Action Wire

Obama Campaign Beats on McCain for Being Beat on By Vietcong

This is getting ridiculous, the Obama campaign has just released an ad that blasts McCain for not "using e-mail" at a time when "cyber-security continues to represent one our most serious national security threats," according to Obama spokesman Dan Pfeiffer. For starters John McCain cannot use a keyboard due to injuries inflicted by his Vietcong captors. The Corner has the story of the Boston Globe report from 2000:

McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain's severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes. Friends marvel at McCain's encyclopedic knowledge of sports. He's an avid fan - Ted Williams is his hero - but he can't raise his arm above his shoulder to throw a baseball.

What's next, an ad saying that McCain can't tie his shoes?

If the media did a better job they would remind voters that although the Obama campaign's website wasn't actually hacked on the eve of the Pennsylvania Primary, it may as well have been. A group of hackers named 2600 obtained the domain name HOPE.net to advertise a convention for Hackers On Planet Earth and they proceeded to link the site directly to the official Obama campaign site making HOPE.com appear to be the Obama site.. Then one morning they made a copy of the Obama web site and proceeded to scribble all over the copied pages and redirect the reader to Hillary Clinton's web site. They should have watched for a redirect like that, his campaign can't even protect themselves from an April Fools morning surprise that made it appear that their website was hacked.

Update: the Gateway Pundit has the story plus the ad itself, Kevin of Wizbang has a piece on McCain's web-savvy 2000 campaign. It seems that it's the Obama campaign that lags in technical savyness.

In Memory of Howard “Barry” Kirschbaum - A Life of Family, Friends and Service

-This was originally posted on September 11, 2006-

Barry Kirschbaum lost his life in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001. Barry likely started that tragic morning like so many other mornings during his previous four years working in the upper reaches of one of the world’s tallest buildings. Barry was the Director of Security for Marsh & McLennan, he was in charge of 20 officers who took care of floors 93 through 100 of Tower One. Marsh was directly below the offices of Cantor Fitzgerald. Tower One was the first of the Center’s towers to be hit; I have a friend who was on the fiftieth floor who was knocked several feet out of his chair, and he’s a big guy.

I never knew Barry but after spending a few evenings searching for and reading snippets of his life through the words of friends and loved ones I feel honored to be writing this post. The comment that seems to sum up all of his friends thoughts was left by a woman Barry dated before meeting his wife Rochelle; she described Barry as a “mensch”, the Yiddish word for a good guy. Indeed Barry was a mensch.

In 1972 Barry joined the New York City Police Department and eventually rose to the rank of Detective, he retired after twenty-five years in order to start a second career at Marsh & McLennan. During Barry’s time on the Police force New York City underwent dramatic changes that often wound up (as usual) putting the city’s Police force on the front lines of society’s problems. During his third year on the force the city of New York even teetered on the brink of bankruptcy. The posts left by his friends and colleagues resonate with Barry’s gift of gab and the gift of his friendship. I am sure that twenty-five years on the New York City Police force gave Barry a nearly endless font of material to amuse and inform his friends and family.

Barry’s path in life was service and friendship; twenty five years as a NY City policeman is more than yeoman’s service yet it was probably tough for him to leave all of his friends behind. Although it did take more than leaving a job to keep him away from those old pals, his daughter Lauren, now 27 said that “He knew every restaurant and what to order and who to go with.” In New York that alone is a full time job. All of his friends wrote of how much fun he was to spend time with, whether in the Kirschbaum home in Staten Island or in one of New York’s many restaurants.

There has been a very small but vocal minority of Americans who have disparaged the WTC victims during the past few years by stating that they deserved their fate. A few have actually used slurs to describe those victims. It should be noted that Barry’s service in the WTC helped a group of people who were transferring risk in a manner that has been critical to the advancement of individuals in our modern economy. Barry’s employer Marsh & McLennan provides insurance services; those services allow products and services to be offered to consumers at lower prices. Everyday products like mortgages have been made more widely available enabling more Americans to enjoy the benefits of home ownership. Those critics simply do not understand our modern society. Barry spent the last years of his life protecting those people who help to facilitate the modern commerce that is improving the lives of so many.

Barry was a lover of family, good friends, good jazz, good brandy and a good cigar. In memory of Barry I plan to have a little bit of brandy, put on some Thelonious Monk and smoke a stashed Cuban cigar this evening. All that is left is say a prayer for Barry, his family and his friends.

Barry’s New York Times obituary can be found here.

If Barry’s family or friends would like me to add to this post please contact me at el_rider_911@yahoo.com

This post was written in conjunction with thousands of other bloggers who were organized by D. Challener Roe at DCOE.com. Many thanks to Dale for putting so much work into organizing this project.

Democrats Going After Catholics - Again

Where do they find these bigots? You would think that it was 1926 all over again down in Virginia. Keith Fimian is running for congress in Virginia's 11th District and that is where the his Democratic opponent is passing out flyers that draw attention to the fact that Fimian is Catholic. Like Fimian I am also Catholic, I also once lived in the Deep South at a time when the Ku Klux Klan was active. The Klan once targeted Catholics, although certainly not to the extent that they targeted African-Americans. The Klan was also an organization made up primarily of Democrats, which makes this latest bigoted Democratic campaign make more sense. It is also notable that for at least twenty years the Klan has recruited Catholics in order to add to their flagging membership rolls. Ramesh Ponnuru of the National Review has the story in Catholic by Association and it is disgraceful.

I find the Muslim accusation to be strange and I know a lot more people who assume that there is a horde of people out there who believe that Obama is a Muslim than people who I have ever heard seriously express any such sentiment. My take? Simple, the genetic Muslim gets his or her genes from the father (in Judaism it's the mother) his father was a nonpracticing Muslim and despite the fallen away aspect his religious make-up can be passed down. But there is a huge problem with that - Barack Obama is an American who has chosen Christianity. We can wonder about his choice of churches but we cannot not claim that he is of another faith. None of us can look into another's souls so the implication that Obama is a Muslim in disguise just doesn't ring true to me. That said this video of Jacki and Dunlap is hysterical.

Obama Campaign Looking for Organizers

Steve Hildebrand of Obama For America has been kind enough to send me regular updates on the Obama campaign, including their new search for campaign operatives, they're just like community organizers! Here is what Steve wrote:

Dear ,
I wanted to get in touch with you again about the upcoming Camp Obama sessions we're holding in Illinois.

As you might have heard, John McCain and his Republican surrogates used their convention to attack Barack and disparage his work as a community organizer.

What they don't get is that ordinary people working together built this movement for change and will lead our campaign to victory in November.

That's why we've had such an amazing response to our Camp Obama sessions so far.

Supporters of all ages and backgrounds, some new to politics and some seasoned veterans, have expressed tremendous enthusiasm for the opportunity to learn the basic organizing principles of this movement and become Deputy Field Organizers in battleground states.

We can't do this without you, and there is still time to sign up. Learn more and apply for a Camp Obama session now.

Thanks,

Steve

Steve Hildebrand
Deputy Campaign Manager
Obama for America

And here is the letter that Steve was good enough to forward to me:

Dear ,
I want to tell you about an exciting program we're launching in Illinois. It's called Camp Obama.

During this two-day session, people like you will be taking their support for this movement to the next level by learning the organizing principles that this campaign and our movement for change are built on.

Camp Obama attendees will receive real world organizing experience that will have a direct impact on this election. Graduates of Camp Obama will go on to become Deputy Field Organizers who will lead this campaign to victory in crucial battleground states around the country.

Find out more about this exciting opportunity to take a leadership role in this movement for change.

By participating in Camp Obama, you'll get the kind of experience that Barack got as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago, where he learned that real change happens from the bottom up.

That experience transformed Barack's life and made him who he is today.

Camp Obama is your chance to put those very same principles into action -- to win this election and to strengthen democracy in communities around the country.

After completing the program, you'll be required to work as a Deputy Field Organizer in a battleground state where you'll be organizing supporters and helping lead our grassroots Get Out The Vote operation.

Apply for a spot at a Camp Obama near you and become a leader in our movement for change:

http://il.barackobama.com/CampObamaIL

This campaign relies on the passion and enthusiasm of ordinary supporters, but it needs leaders who can organize those supporters and turn their enthusiasm into votes on Election Day.

Camp Obama is your chance to step up and become a leader in this movement.

Thanks,

Jon

Newspapers Taking Reporters Off Terrorism Beat to Investigate Sarah Palin

This is getting ridiculous. This Counter Terrorism Blog report has some newspapers taking their reporters off of the terrorism beat. Obama Saw Alaska On A Map!

This is big news, less than four months ago Barack Obama did not realize that Kentucky borders on Illinois, the state that Obama represents in the Senate. Further the Obama campaign has not released any information that explains another Obama statement from four months ago, that he had campaigned in "57 states." On This Week With George Stephanopoulos Obama stated “(w)ell, look. You know, I actually knew that Russia was next to Alaska, as well. I saw it on a map.” Wow, the Next Rand McNally can read a map. While attempting to belittle Sarah Palin Obama not only acts like a jerk but he reminds us that some very basic knowledge had not made it into Obama's own bank of basic knowledge as recently as last spring.

Obama Running as Community Organizer Would Be Like Palin Running as a PTA Member

Except that the PTA member has some actual responsibilities. Face it, Barack Obama organized those people into the Tony Rezko slums that "community organizer" Barack Obama's employer worked to get subsidized so that they could have their heat turned off in the middle of Chicago's winters. I bet that Sarah Palin wasn't cashing campaign donation checks from slumlords while those slum lords froze her constituents up in Alaska. Barack Obama was not the kind of "organizer" that people need, and hasn't he admitted to being notoriously unorganized? That's why he can't come up with so many records from his past.

Obama Supporters Stole Convention Credentials to Attack Sarah Palin!

Obama financial supporter Jodie Evans attempted to attack Sarah Palin during the later's speech on Wednesday.
Obama's fellow South Side "serious" Sox fan and code pink inspiration William Ligue after storming the field with his 14 year old son at Sox Park in 2002.

Jodie Evans is one of Obama's largest finacial supporters through her "bundling" activities and she stole an alternative delagate's credentials in order to enter the convention hall. Like he has done so often this week Jim Hoft of the Gateway Pundit has the story and it is as disgusting as it is typical for the leftists of the Democratic Party. Democrats attempting to attack speakers at the Republican National Convention, the idea really sounded better in its original German.

Chicago's own Oprah Winfrey has become just another televised shill. This time it's for Barack Obama. Oprah will not host Sarah Palin despite the fact that her viewers want to see Gov. Palin on Oprah's show. Hey Oprah, the KGB used to use the term "nyet", try it.

HuffPo Posters: "Track Palin is Gay"

Now where do they find these people? The HuffPo has been forced to turn off the comment section on a Track Palin page due to the fact that so many Democratic readers have, um "issues." Here is one comment that was copied before they closed the door on the HuffPo reader's insanity: "My gaydar went off too…seriously…if Track is gay…does that mean that the entire Republican party will have to rally around his right to be a sinner like they have done with Bristol." For those who are less familiar with urban culture, "gaydar" is shorthand for "gay radar". And what is with the "sinner" thing? The people who complain the loudest that gays are sinners are the members of the Westboro Baptist Church and it has been conservatives who have taken on those losers. Sheesh. Now just because Ariana Huffington's ex-husband is a gay Republican does not mean that every decent looking conservative is gay.

Moonbattery has the story.

Todd Palin...

...Has done a good job, sure he hasn't really said anything but he hasn't been asked nor has he needed to. Last Wednesday morning his wife was flying to Arizona to confer with John McCain and news reports had other politicians also confering with the Arizona Senator concerning the Vice Presidency, tonight he is standing on a stage in front of thousands of people and millions more on television. Heady stuff and he is doing fine. Good job Todd.

Obama Campaign Still Illegally Using Boy Scout Name and Logo

This was posted last week and deserves to be posted until the Obama campaign takes their illegal use of the Boy Scout logo and name off of their web site. The Obama campaign should also see fit to donate the money raised by illegally using the Boy Scout images to the Boy Scouts of America.

Well, they just can't help themselves anymore. The official My Barack Obama web site, now featuring Joe Biden is hosting another problematic web page sponsored by Obama supporters. This one, "Boy Scouts for Barack Obama" is illegally using the Boy Scout logo and name and it is inappropriately using the Boy Scouts of America to promote a political candidate. The group also has some issues with the language, this is their Group Profile: "We are Boy scouts that want to use our rights to make this country a better place." On the other hand the Profile may just be living down to the pejorative "Obamabots."

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) web site is pretty clear on the use of the BSA logo and image:

Please note that in 1916, in order to protect the proprietary marks of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), the U.S. Congress granted the BSA a federal charter (36 USC § 21 et. seq.), which gives the BSA "the exclusive right to use emblems, badges, descriptive or designating marks, and words and phrases [the BSA] adopts."

In effect, almost any logo or symbol that reasonably relates to the Boy Scouts of America or its program is protected. Accordingly, anyone seeking to use any symbols, words, or phrases that might reasonably be related to the BSA and its programs should contact the Boy Scouts of America Legal Department...

Interestingly Troop 632 in Pensacola, Florida had to issue a reminder to their Scouts on the subject of "uniforming", particularly at political events. It seems that during the 2006 campaign President Bush spoke at a rally in Pensacola that was attended by some Boy Scouts in uniform and as Kim Sheldon, the District Executive wrote, "(u)nfortunately, some of the public observing the media coverage perceived this to be a partisan demonstration by the Boy Scouts for the Republican political candidates President Bush was there to promote." In a summary of BSA rules and practices Sheldon wrote, "Scout uniforms shall not be worn to political events or rallies, protests or demonstrations where its appearance could reasonably be used to imply BSA support for a particular political cause or candidate."

So just two short years ago members of the Democratic Party whined and complained about a few Boy Scouts who wore their uniforms to an event featuring the President of the United States, today the Democrats illegally use the Boy Scout logo and name in an attempt to elect Barack Obama President of the United States. According to the My Barack Obama web site this group of 240 "Boy Scouts" has made 3,721 phone calls, they have yet to knock on any doors and they have raised $9,642.40. This Ladies and Gentleman is not what Scouting is about, this is Chicago politics, plain and simple. Get used to it, the election is still 70 days away.

The folks at BoyandGirlScouts.com reported on this issue last month and My Barack Obama continues to host Boy Scouts for Barack Obama. The always prepared Boy Scouts do have this helpful line on the BSA web site: "If you are aware of the unauthorized use of these trademarks, please contact the BSA immediately by linking to bsalicensing.org--Unauthorized Use Form."

Please Don't Be Diverted by the Ground Noise and the Static

They're back. The children of code pink are attempting to disrupt the Republican Convention again tonight and that was John McCain's reaction, "Please don't be diverted by the ground noise and the static." Then he went on about how people are sick of the loudmouths. That was after saying that he had something very important in common with Barack Obama, they are both Americans and that is the most important club. A pox on code pink.

Update: Michelle Malkin has the story: Un-freaking-believable: Anti-war disrupters sabotage McCain’s speech

Obama Spending Like Drunken Sailor

Photo Copyright: Flying Debris

That's right, despite only reimbursing staffers if they take the el from O'Hare ($1.75 - $2.00) the Obama campaign is spending money like it's tap water. The campaign has planned to up the national staff from about 700 during the end of the primaries to 2000 for the stretch run. That is a larger staff than in the White House and four times more than the Bush campaign of 2004, the previous high water mark. Jaime Sneider of the Weekly Standard Blog posted here on the issue and reasonably stated, "if Obama spends like this when he needs to raise the money himself, one can only imagine what he'll do when he can instead tap the tax coffers of the U.S. Treasury."

Obama Ally on Corruption: "Illinois Needs a Big Hug"

Obama ally Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL) has looked at the corruption that is rife in Democratic Illinois and he has written that "Illinois Needs a Big Hug." Well he is from the corrupt Jackson family and he is a part of the corrupt Chicago Democratic Machine that nurtured his mentor Barack Obama. Jackson and Obama are just political lawyers, these guys are so divorced from the lives of Americans that they are an embarrassment.

Joe Biden - Too Dumb to Understand

I just saw a clip of Joe Biden on the Today Show stating that he did not hear Sarah Palin talk about the middle class. What a fool, a large portion of the speech was about the middle class. She talked about taxes, jobs and the middle class. Hey Joe, take your meds and watch the speech, you might learn something. Doubtful on Biden learning anything, at all.

Obama People Attempted to Attack Palin During Speech

Copyright: AP
Code Pinko member Jodie Evans attempts to storm the dias and attack Sarah Palin during her speech at the Republican National Convention. Evans was arrested like her inspiration, William Ligue, below.
Code Pinko inspiration William Ligue, a South Side of Chicago idiot who was arrested with his 14 year old son after they attacked Kansas City Royals coach Tom Gamboa at Sox Park in 2002.
Code Pinko inspiration Ligue being hauled off at Sox Park. Barack Obama stated that  "White Sox, that's baseball. South Side." Ligue is a Democratic South Side baseball fan.

What the hell is wrong with these people? A major Obama fund raiser (a star "bundler") got to the edge of the stage while Sarah Palin was giving her speech last night and attempted to storm the stage. Yes, the idiotic Jodie Evans is a member of code pinko, no shock there. Also no shock is that she was joined by the disgusting Medea Benjamin, a woman who changed her first name to that of a fictional character who murdered her sons. Medea is so ignorant that after moving to Cuba she complained that she had no free speech rights. Horrible humans like Evans, Benjamin and the bimbos of code pinko give humans a bad name. Apparently those two shrews got into the convention with the help of a "disgruntled Republican." Well they should disgruntle that person's loser ass right out of town.

These Obama people have become so unhinged that they are now willing to attack opposing candidates on stage during speeches. These insane people think that they should lead a nation? No nation deserves to be lead by these juvenile imbeciles. The spoiled children at code pinko have even put out a press release bragging about their fascist tactics.

Hat Tip to the Gateway Pundit's Jim Hoft who has been repeatedly reminding the Democrats to "keep it classy." Like their exalted leader Obama those people are unable to take any advice that wasn't written by Saul Alinsky.

Back-Stabbin-Biden Screwed JFK Aide Sorensen

This piece from the Times Online is not a shock to those of us who follow politics, after all the only way that Joe Biden has distinguished himself is as a World Class Jerk. In his memoirs Ted Sorensen discussed dealing with Biden after Carter nominated Sorensen as Director of the CIA, first Biden lied to Sorensen by enthusiastically telling him that he was "the best appointment that Carter has made!" True to his form Biden went on to stab Sorensen in the back.

Here is what Sorensen wrote in Counselor:

On the other hand, the prize for political hypocrisy in a town noted for political hypocrisy went to Joe Biden. On my first courtesy call to his office, he could not have been more enthusiastic, supportive, and gracious, calling me "the best appointment Carter has made!"

At the opening of the hearing, he changed both his tune and his tone, stating: "Quite honestly, I'm not sure whether or not Mr Sorenson could be indicted or convicted under the espionage statutes.......whether Mr Sorenson intentionally took advantage of ambiguities in the law or carelessly ignored the law."

After listening to my statement of defense and withdrawal, he said: "Ted, you are one of the classiest men I have ever run across in my whole life."

Back-Stabbin-Biden is one big dishonest creep.

North Koreans Try to End Joe Biden’s Career

Bumped

The other day I checked on how many posts on Flying Debris involve Joe Biden and I found this one from two years ago. It is interesting that Orville Wright first flew in December of 1903 and Neil Armstrong walked on the moon in July of 1969 and even more telling Alan Shepard played golf on the moon in February of 1971. Less than 68 years between first flying a canvas covered airplane and sand shots on the moon. Both Obama and Biden refuse to allow America to protect herself and others from missile based attacks and blackmail and Biden wasn't even sharp enough to understand the engineering questions that the systems are based on. Interestingly America's missile defense is based in Alaska where it looks toward Russia and North Korea. Somebody has got to ask Biden about that issue. Here is the post from June 21, 2006.

Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.), like so many of his fellow Democrats, has been a long-time vocal critic of the Strategic Defense Initiative, the missile shield that was knick-named “Star Wars”. Today the US is forced to stare down the rogue nation of North Korea and it's desire to test long-range missiles that they could equip with nuclear arms. The still-in-testing missile defense shield is one of our only legitimate defenses. This is a system that made its way into the public consciousness during Ronald Reagan’s 1980 presidential campaign. Since that time the “Democratic wing of the Democratic Party” has been united in its belittlement of the very idea that a nation could protect itself from a missile attack.

The usual argument (if one is forced to call it that) has been the bumper-sticker-like “you can’t hit a bullet with a bullet!” In fact I found a quote very close to that by some blogger from just four years ago here. Any reasonable student of history has to laugh at those sentiments. In addition to denying human technological advances the Democrats (and other liberals) often had objections that amounted to the fact that early examples of SDI couldn’t cover every single contingency. My personal too-long-for-a-bumper-sticker response has been to compare the speaker(s) to some chump standing on Kill Devil Hills in Kitty Hawk, NC during the Wright Brothers 1903 tests of the Wright Flyer and stating “That thing will never work; it doesn’t even have an in-flight movie!”

The Democratic Party's objections have morphed over the decades but they revolve around the belief that humans cannot do that which has not already been done. This belief is truly stupid. It may very well be a belief rooted in our nation’s educational institutions and their seeming inability to get their students to think dynamically. The Clinton crowd often described dynamic thinking as “thinking outside of the box”; of course that all depended on the meaning of the words thinking, outside and box.

In addition to the rather obvious lunacy of denying human advancement (while using computers no less!) I have always considered the Democratic position to be ignorant as it pertains to politics. It has always been a simple matter of time until there would be some need for a missile shield. Unless one believes that very soon the entire world will be sitting around in a gigantic circle, smoking some big old fatties and singing Kumbaya. The entire argument seems to be based on ignorance of history and of humanity.

If the United States is forced to use our missile defense shield to protect the nation against the rouge regime in North Korea I would expect many Republican candidates to use the multiple decades of Democratic lunacy against them. The quotes to use are as far away as Google. Joe Biden and John Kerry, among others would make big fat targets.

Obama Offers Alaskans $5000...

...For dirt on Sarah Palin and her husband Todd according to this American Spectator article. The article also contains this doozy: "Last Friday, the Democrat women they put all looked old and tired, nothing like what folks were seeing from Palin," says an Obama media adviser. "It was like, 'we don't have any good-looking younger representatives to put up?'" The left is getting out of control.

McCain and Lieberman visit the Corn Options Pit on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade.

Senator Lieberman, the 2000 Democratic Nominee for the Vice-Presidency is now speaking at the 2008 Republican National Convntion to support his friend John McCain. Thanks again Senator.

Democratic Cathouse Owner Declares Open Season on Palin Family

Oh great, now Barney Frank (D-Ma) is in on the game of attacking the teenage children of Republicans. As Flying Debris pointed out here Congressman Frank once lived with his boyfriend Steven Gobie in his Georgetown townhouse while Gobie ran a prostitution service out of the townhouse. But even for Frank, to state that he will go after a teenage girl is low. The Gateway Pundit has the story.

Obama Tries to Upstage McCain Thursday Night

He will be on O'Reilly Thursday night. Last week the Obama campaign went on about how McCain better not try to upstage Obama on the big night of his speech. Last week McCain bought time for a very classy message of congratulations. This week the Obama campaign will have Barack appear on the O'Reilly Factor after not even talking to O'Reilly during the entire campaign. That is what you should expect from a Machine Politician from Chicago.

Obama Supporter Releases Sarah Palin's Social Security Number

What is wrong with those people? Like everything with Obama he is at arms length, one of his top advisers was an adviser to the man who released the information. Wizbang has the story. Oh and they can say that they didn't release the last four numbers, well great, those are the most public numbers. What is wrong with those people?

As to Obama being at arms length to "everything" that is not quite accurate, as Jim Hoft of the fantastic Gateway Pundit noticed in this AP article, sometimes the MSM lets the mask slip just a bit. Hoft has helpfully been reminding the Obama campaign to "keep it classy", they should heed his advice.

Obama Has More Experience With Crooked Businessmen Than Palin

In this CNN article Barack Obama has claimed that he has more experience than Sarah Palin and on some levels he is correct. Obama has spent more time with Chicago crooks, mobsters and convicted Democrats than Gov. Pallin has ever done. Now maybe if Tony Rezko had gone up to Alaska and helped Todd Palin build the Palin home (ha - I'd like to see that Rezko loser with a hammer!) then maybe Obama would be on to something. Let's face it, Obama's work experience has shown him to be just another crooked Chicago politician trying to game the system.

Obama Ally Tries to Scam School Money

Photo Copyright: Flying Debris
Meeks protesting the war with a few other losers in 2003.

Photo Copyright: Flying Debris

The loud-mouthed Obama ally Rev. Meeks is protesting the failure of Chicago's students and he is blaming that failure on the lack funds controlled by him and his allies. He is always about the money. He is taking children out of school (the schools will lose state money for this stunt) in order to protest the fact that the wealthy parents of Chicago's North Shore have chosen to pay higher taxes so that their children could have good schools to attend. Schools like New Trier, New Trier spends over $16,000 per student while the Chicago Public School Syatem spends about $10,600 per student. To put all of this in perspective one of the best school systems in the state is in suburban Naperville where they spend $9806 per student. The well documented problems of the Chicago Public School System has more to do with students not graduating and the parents of those students not caring. Sure they care enough to blame their own children's failures on others, especially if they can yell at somebody and demand more money, but in converation after conversation I hear teachers complain that the parents just don't care. I blame the supposed "religious leaders" in those communities.

According to Meeks, the problem is not that the parents that he "ministers" to are not involved with the lives of their own children but rather that the system needs more money that can be controlled by Meeks and his pals. This is just another Democratic scam, we can expect more of those scams in an Obama administration, a lot more. If Obama can't get his allies to tone things down while he is running for president we can reasonably expect that he could never get his allies to stop marching and demanding that we all pay for scams like the one Meeks is attmpting to pull off today.

FOX Is Reporting Levee Topping Waves in New Orleans

Here we go again. At least this time the people had enough sense to leave town last weekend. I have spent a lot of time in New Orleans and have always been amazed at the attitudes towards the canals. Something about walking out into the backyard and looking up at ships, combine that with the afternoon I spent in the French Quarter during a storm after some pumps failed and, well I would get out of town too.

So FOX has reported that a levee on least one and possibly two canals are being topped by storm surge and wind-driven waves. They are additionally reporting that there is at least one barge loose in the Industrial Canal, there is a possibility of two more vessels being loose in the Industrial Canal, where there have been reports of a levee being topped.

UPDATE: One barge corralled, the water in the canals is still rising. The Army Corps is looking for additional vessels.

UPDATE: The Army Corps has reported that the New Orleans levees are holding and that they did not have to close gates at Lake Pontchartrain and that the waves topping the levees were not a serious problem and that the pumps in New Orleans are operational.
